ANATOLIAN BEZOAR IBEX HUNTING

(Capra hircus aegagrus, Capra aegagrus aegagrus, Bezoar Ibex, Anatolian Bezoar Ibex, Wild goat, Bezoarwild, Bauguetin)
Bezoar Ibex which is called “Geyik” by Anatolian local’s lives in the steep hills, abrupt locations covered with forests and short bushes starting from the see level at Aegean and up to the altitude of 3000mt in East Turkey. It is known as the noblest ibex between all ibex species on earth. High trophy ranks and world records on ibex always came from Turkey. Turkish government has provided a great increase in the population with a close protection program to the ibex habitat. Ibex weights about 50-85kg. Anatolian ibex hunt can be combined with red deer, hybrid ibex and gazelle.

Hunting Season: Hunting season starts as of August 1st and end by March 31st. Mating season is November, December and January.

Anatolian Ibex Hunt: The hunt is generally done during the mating season by stalking. This hunt requires a good body fitness. It is possible to get close to ibexes during the mating season however generally shooting distance is between 200m to 300mt. Due to nature construction in some areas, shooting distances may extend. Our professional guides starts glassing and tracking before the hunter’s arrival for a successful hunt. Available hunting locations are Antalya, Datça, Finike, Köyceğiz, Alanya, Konya, Niğde, Kayseri, Erzincan, Erzurum, Bingöl and Artvin, Adana, Mersin, Adıyaman, Giresun.

Camp/Hotel: Accommodation will be generally provided in hotels by the area, nearby cottages and lodges. However fly camps might be used in certain locaitions. All accommodations are hygienic and safe at all locations.

Weather: Weather is generally cool/cold in day time and very cold at nights in November, December, January. Weather may change due to the hunting location. It is generally warmer in closer locations to the sea. However weather is generally -5 to -15c day time and -10 to -20c at nights in mid Anatolia. It might rain or snow during this season.

Transportation: Turkish Airlines and other Turkish private airways (Pegas, Pegasus, Onur Air, Atlas Jet, Anadolu Jet) flies to any domestic location from İstanbul and Ankara. However our company suggest Turkish Airlines since they are the best company with handling firearms and ammo.

ANATOLIAN CHAMOIS HUNTING

(Rupicapra rupicapra asiatica, Anatolian chamois, Gamse-Gamswild, Chamois)
Chamois which lives on the rocky and naked areas above the border line of forests in summer can also spread in to the deep, brushy and woody valleys. In winter it lives in steep valleys in forest. It weight’s about 35 to 50kg. It’s light brown fur in summer turns darker, almost black in winter.
Chamois hunt can be combined with bezoar ibex, hybrid ibex and gazelle.

Hunting Season: Hunting season starts as of August 1st and ends by 31st of January. Mating period is the second half of October and December.

Chamois Hunt: The hunt is generally done during the mating period by stalking. This hunt requires a good body fitness. Hunting distance is generally 200 to 300m. Due to nature construction in some areas, shooting distances may extend. Our professional guides starts glassing and tracking before the hunter’s arrival for a successful hunt. Available hunting locations are Northeast Anatolia, Kaçkar Mountains, Gümüşhane, Erzincan, Erzurum, Rize and Artvin.

ANATOLIAN GAZELLE HUNTING

(Gazella Marica, Gazelle)
Anatolian gazelle which lives amongst the Tukey’s southern cities of Şanlıurfa has delicate figure, thin legs and big eyes. It prefers to live on not rough steppes where the terrain is sandy, hilly and sparse woody and does not like valley bases and river sides. It strays in groups. When the weather gets too hot in the afternoon, it lays on shady parts of the hills, rocks and trees. It weight about 15 to 25kg. Anatolian gazelle hunt can be combined with ibex, hybrid ibex, red deer and wild boar.

Hunting Season: Hunting season starts as of September 1st and ends by the 31th of December. Mating period is the first weeks of September and October.

Anatolian Gazelle Hunt: After tracking with vehicles, Anatolian gazelle with the best trophy gets picked and hunt finalizes with stalking. Shooting distance is between 100 to 300m.

Camp/Hotel: Accommodation will be generally provided in hotels by the area, nearby cottages and lodges. All accommodations are hygienic and safe. Hunting area has a historical background and famous with its cousin.

Weather: Weather is generally hot during the mating season in September and October. It does not snow in the hunting area but rain might be expected.

ANATOLIAN HYBRID IBEX HUNTING

(Hybrid Ibex)
Anatolian hybrid ibex has first seen in Olgunlar Village 20km away from Adıyaman. This species which is told sacred by the natives of the area has appeared from mating of an ibex and domesticated goat and spread out to different areas of Adıyaman. Hybrid ibex has got low ears, long fur and horns which grows back and sides carries the characteristics of the both species. It has got different colors and weight 40 to 70kg. Anatolian hybrid ibex hunt can be combined with ibex, red deer, wild boar and gazelle.

Hunting Season: Hunting season starts as of August 1st and ends by the March 31st. Mating period is between December and January.

Anatolian Hybrid Ibex Hunt: Hunting hybrid ibex which both has the characteristics of both species can be done during the mating period with walking and listening. Finding hybrid ibex is not a problem besides the mating period. Trophy size does not take into consideration on hybrid ibex hunt. It is important that hybrid ibex carries the characteristics of the both species. Shooting distance is between 10 to 300m.

Camp/Hotel: Accommodation will be generally provided in hotels by the area, nearby cottages and lodges. All accommodations are hygienic and safe. If needed this hunt may require camping in the hunting area.

Weather: Weather is cold if moved in early morning (10c). However since the area has a lukewarm climate it is around 15 to 25c during the day time. It only snows to higher altitude locations, rain may fall due to weather conditions and fog might occur. Generally the weather is bright and sunny.

ANATOLIAN RED DEER HUNTING

(Cervus elaphus, Mideastern Red Deer, Red Deer, Red Stag, Rothirsch-Rotwild, Cerfrouge)
Red deer which is called sacred by Anatolian people is protected and not hunted by most locals. Anatolian red deer which is completely living free range is a species which trophy hunters can’t give up. It weight about 200-350kg. Red deer hunt can be combined with bezoar ibex, hybrid ibex and gazelle.

Hunting Season: Hunting season starts as of September 1st and ends by January 31st. Mating period for red deer is late September, mid October.

Red Deer Hunting: Especially during the mating period, the hunt can be easily done by stalking. In some cases it’s sometimes even possible to approach red deer up to 10m under the guidance of our professional guides. According to this, a successful red deer hunt is highly possible. Red deer which goes to its bedding early in the morning and goes out to scatter at late afternoon will be tracked down by our guides after our clients determining the arrival date to help the hunter to easily locate the best quality trophies. Available hunting locations are Ankara, Afyon, Bolu, Eskişehir, Denizli, Kastamonu and Kütahya.

Camp/Hotel:Accommodation will be provided in hotels, cottages and lodges near the hunting area. All accommodations are hygienic and safe.

Weather: In September – October, weather is hot in the mornings and cool in the evenings at the hunting locations. Generally it is 20-25c day time and 12-18c at nights. During this season rain fall occurs rarely.

ANATOLIAN WILD BOAR HUNTING

(Sus scrofa)
Since the 99% of the population is Muslim in Turkey, wild boar meat does not consumed. According to this reason it’s common to see high rank trophies in this fast growing population. Wild boar that lives totaly free range is an irrevocable prey for hunters. It weight between 70 to 500kg. Wild boar hunt can be combined with ibex, hybrid ibex, red deer and gazelle.

Hunting Season:
1- Driven Hunt : 1st of September – 20th of February
2- Stalking Hunt : All year

KONYA SHEEP HUNTING

(Ovis Gimelini Anatolica, Konya Sheep, Anatolian Mouflon, Anatolian Wild Sheep, Yaban Koyunu)
Konya Sheep is an endemic sub-species of wild sheep breed in Turkey. Its wool, ears and tail is short but its legs are thin and long. Because of that, it is more similar to a deer than a sheep. White marks on their croups become more visible especially during the mating period and there are blackish marks are on their knees. One of the remarkable features of ram is their elongated and curved horns on both sides. Horns begin to emerge when rams are four months old and they continue to grow throughout the life. Horns of the rams which are 5-6 years old begin to curl upward and outward.

They live in the hills of Ankara-Nallıhan, Konya and Karaman between the altitude of 100 and 1500m where climate is dry and soft. They adapt to the land where they live in, through their snuff colored wools. Steppe plants which grow on the hills where the climate is dry and soft; and steppes and forest are next to each otherconstitude theit food. Male and female heards of Anatolian wild sheep are kept separate from each other during almost 10 months of the year. November and December are usually the mating period. Sheeps give birth usually in May-June after 5 months of avarage gestation period.

ANATOLIAN BROWN BEAR HUNTING

The brown bear (Ursus arctos) is the largest carnivore in Turkey. Its present distribution is mainly confined to the intact natural habitats of the Black Sea and Eastern Anatolian regions. Forest fragmentation and direct persecution by humans have resulted in population declines in other regions during the last 50 years.

Anatolian brown bear has good-sized, powerfully built bear with a distinct shoulder hump, a large head supported by a short, muscular neck, and a concave facial profile. Overall color can vary with individual bears from light grayish-yellow to very dark brown.ead and body length 5-8 feet (1.5-2.4 m). Tail length 2-6 inches (5.1-15.2 cm). Shoulder height 35-43 inches (89-109 cm). Weight 220-660 pounds (100-300 kg). Females are about two-thirds as large as males.
