Kazakhstan, officially the Republic of Kazakhstan, is the ninth largest country in the world, located between Central Asia and Eastern Europe. Its vast territory encompasses plains, steppes, taigas, canyons, hills, deltas, mountains, and even deserts.
Hunting in Kazakhstan’s mountains, its majestic Ibex awaits us, an exciting high mountain stalking that will culminate with the satisfaction of hunting a great trophy. And for lovers of roe deer, in Kustanai, there are the largest of its species, steppes and Kazakh plains where you can give free rein to the passion that hunting this animal arouses.

Upon arrival in Almaty, the largest city in the country, we are surprised by a large cosmopolitan city reminiscent of European cities and brimming with shopping malls and hedonistic nightlife, a rich mix of Russian and Central Asian style that we recommend visiting at the end of the hunt. Twelve hours of travel will take us to the mountains of the Dshungarian Alatu, in the southeast of the country and bordering the Chinese border, a famous area for hunting in Kazakhstan this species. We will hunt at an altitude of 2,500 to 3,200 meters maximum, and we will be assisted by horses that will facilitate our adventure. Other species that inhabit the area in addition to the Ibex are the Dzhungar Argali, Maral, Siberian roe deer, wild boar, brown bear, snow leopard, and wolf.

The Siberian roe deer (Capreolus p. Pygargus) is a species that spans the entire Asian continent. The Siberian roe deer is larger than the European. The size of the body and the trophy largely depends on the habitat where it grows, and the Kustanai areas, north of Kazakhstan, are undoubtedly fertile and favorable lands for hunting in Kazakhstan this species.
Kustanai Siberian roe deer are famous for their wide variety of trophy shapes, pearlized with multiple tips and remarkable width. The average size of the trophies is normally between 850 – 950 grams. The biggest trophies hunted by our clients reached more than 1,400 grams. The average trophies that we hunt annually are between 1,000 – 1,200 grams. The biggest trophy achieved was 5 x 6 points and weighed 1,430 grams.
