Ovis ammon darwini are found in mountain ranges of the Gobi desert in the south and south-western Mongolia. Gobi Argali is smaller than its close relative – Altai argali in both and trophy sizes. However, the largest recorded horns of this sheep were measured 54 inches long over the curve.
Hunting season: July 01 – September 30
Average trophy size: 40 – 45 inches in length and 14 – 16 inches in girth.
